I wanted to introduce myself

Hi Manuel and all other DEAs

I wanted to introduce myself to you all, my name is Catherine and I work in part of West Sussex.  I received a quote request from DEAlocal this morning so that was a nice surprise so I would just like to say Thank you.

I would also like to say, this site is very interesting and I look forward to being in contact with you all, now I am up and running.

I have been self employed running my own business for a year after being made redundant after 13 years with a company.  It has not been an easy year and with the credit crunch it is even tougher but I have got by and a few months back I decided to take the DEA course to work along side my business so if one part of the business was quite I would hopefully have work coming in from the other. 

Since mid September work has been coming in from EPCs and a couple of HIP enquiiries recently.  This has been with my advertising and basically telling everyone I know and asking friends to take a card and give the other cards to a friend and ask them to take one and pass on the cards to one of their friends and so on. 

This has worked fairly well and my cards are more likely to get passed around because they only have to take one card and pass the rest to a friend and ask them to do the same and most people don't mind that, especially if they are friends and yes I have had some enquiries and some EPCs from this from Landlords letting out property. 

I know there is a lot of competition but I will not charge to low as I don't want to be working for nothing.  My lowest price is £65. I always ask an enquiry where they heard about us and that way I know what advertising is working and what is not sometimes it is the cheapest advertising that works best.  Anyway there is a long way to go and fingers crossed we all get lots of work.
