Training Companies should be stopped – its immoral!

I have just taken a call from a guy who has been offered training as a DEA. He has been told that he could earn upwards of 50k per year! Not only that it would only cost him £6,500 for the full training!

I put him straight on a few true facts – too many assessors, low charge rates, housing market etc etc. Advised him that the only one making money at this at the moment are the training companies. I was thanked for my honesty.

When, when, when is the government going to put a freeze on training. It is so unfair that people are being dupped, conned, call it what you like, into taking up the training, only to find that at the end of it they will have a real problem getting work. I am sure that there are DEAs out there earning a reasonable living, but there are many, many more that are not.

 I've never been afraid of hard work, and am doing all that I can to get it (after spending years in the advertising game, I know how it works!). But I feel so sorry for those that are taking the bait, getting hooked and then only to be left in the keep net!
