I am a qualified, accredited, insured and professional Domestic Energy Assessor. I am independent and impartial not tied to any Estate Agent. I am available to conduct surveys at a time which suits you best. This includes evenings and weekends. Surveys normally take about one hour depending on the size of the property. Speed is much less important than accuracy!
The Department of Finance and Personnel have recently issued a letter to agents advising sellers that they must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) when marketing the property for sale. They have indicated that fines of £200 can be issued for each breach discovered.District Councils can now enfore the regulations from December 2009.
As I am a Sole Trader my fees are very competitive. I do nt pay any commission to Agents. I provide all my own equipment to enable me to carry out an accurate survey.
I will provide you with a paper copy of the Energy Performance Certificate and access to it on line. Normally the completed EPC is ready within 24 hours. Normally I personally deliver it and explain the contents to you.
