As a newly qualified and fully accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) in your area I would like to confirm my availability to carry out Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) within a 15 mile radius of Woking Town Centre.
As you might be aware, it became mandatory on 1st August 2007 for all 4 bedroom houses being placed ontothe market to have an EPC. In September 2007 the same requirement was extended to 3 bedroom houses and finally as from the 16th December 2007 all domestic properties no matter what size require an EPC as part of the Home Information Pack (HIPS). In addition, this also applies to any properties being Let or Rented.
I believe this is the right approach as the property market is responsible for approx 32% of the countries total energy use and 28% of its carbon use.
On a personal note I have lived in the Woking area for over 25 years and have seen many changes to the local environment.
